It sure was weird to not be throwing a big NYE party in San Francisco this year, but it was great to be with Leo and Bethany for Leo's first New Years! 2009 was a great year for the simple fact that Leo was born, but other than that, it was just an "ok" year. Look forward to having 2010 be a kick a-s year!
In the photo above, Bethany and Leo are ringing the bell at the Sacramento Buddhist Church (Where we got married!) after the New Years Eve service. It's a Buddhist tradition to ring the bell 108 times for good luck. It was the first time Bethany (and of course Leo) has ever rang the bell!
The photo below was taken at the Marysville Buddhist Church on New Year's Day. Since we were heading to Marysville for our family party, we decided to make it up for the New Year's Day service and support the church I grew up going to.
And lastly, our family on my Mom's side gets together on New Year's Day every year as far as I can remember! We rotate getting together in Marysville or the Bay Area, so it was nice to drive the short distance to my hometown. It's one of the few times we all get together and is truly a great time seeing everyone and of course, we eat way too much. This was Leo's first New Year's Day with the family so it was nice to hang out with everyone. In the photo below, Leo is rolling around on the ground with his cousins Sara and Dave. Love that he is pulling on Dave's sweatshirt string! ha ha
I am sure that you know by now that the Mayor of Sacramento is a very famous ex-NBA player...Kevin Johnson. Well he is a huge fan of Vitaminwater so my team has taken care of him, and he is taking care of us! You would think by the looks of these photos, that we have some sort of sponsorship deal with him, but we don't...he's just a huge fan. And you know what? I am a huge fan of his! 
Leo is now finally old enough to wear baby legs! What are baby legs you ask? They are basically long socks to protect his legs and knees while crawling and dragging himself on the floor! He's really scooting around now, let me tell you! 
Bethany, Leo and I actually had a night out...it was our good friend Lisa's birthday dinner and we made it out to 33rd Street Bistro in Sac. We obviously couldn't stay out late and go to the bars as we had to get Leo home for bed, but it was fun to actually get out for a bit, since we don't get to do it that often. Above is the group photo! Happy Birthday Lisa!
Apparently, Leo likes to swim. Bethany took him to a family swimming pool in Davis and he absolutely loved it. We see that he loves taking a bath, so I guess it's not surprising that he enjoyed this. Watch out Micheal Phelps!
A friend of mine who works for a promotions company asked me to send me a photo of Leo a few months back...well here is what she sent me! It's a blanket and the company is called "Pics in a Blanket." Not sure what to think of this to be honest, and I doubt we'll be putting this on his crib/bed anytime soon, but it is kinda cute! Maybe one of Leo's Grandma's will want it for their house! ha ha 
Leo just celebrated his 7 month birthday! And to think he used to be smaller than that UC Davis cow! ha ha
