We had a bunch of holiday gatherings this weekend...this is usually the case the weekend before Christmas. On Saturday, we went to Marysville for our annual gathering of high school friends. This has been an annual tradition for over 10 years now and it is one of my favorite nights of the year. We always start it out with dinner, then drinks at a bar, and then close it out playing poker until very early in the morning.
Even though we just had our reunion this summer, it is always great to see everyone. We were a very tight knit class and were all quite close. You can make great friends throughout your life, but there's just something about the friends you grow up with, that you cant ever duplicate with newer friends. Also this weekend, we met up with some friends in Sacramento and went ice skating at the rink in midtown. Unfortunately, we had to leave early to put Leo to bed so we couldn't ice skate (Which is probably a good thing for me!), but it was fun to hang out with everyone on an unseasonably warm winter evening.
